Absa Bank creates credit line for Mozambican doctors

Absa Bank cria linha de crédito para médicos moçambicanos

Absa Bank Moçambique will make available a special credit line for Mozambican doctors, where they will be able to access a personalized service, says a communiqué sent to MZNews.

The document states that beneficiaries will be able to consult their Relationship Managers whenever they wish, and also receive their Debit and Credit Cards at home at no additional cost, among others.

To this end, the banking institution signed a memorandum with the Mozambican Association of Doctors (AMM) that foresees advantages for both parties.

This Absa Bank initiative comes as a way to recognize the role of doctors in the most difficult period of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the Director of Retail and Business Banking, Marta Humbane, quoted in the document.

"And so, we could not remain indifferent to this segment which, through its proactivity and diligence in healthcare, has saved lives and prevented the collapse of the national healthcare system," Humbane said, advancing that more partnerships will be entered into.

The AMM president revealed that this agreement is the culmination of many dialogues and work, and he expects good results and more support in the coming years.

"We are ready to publicize this partnership within our association, to raise awareness among physicians so that they can join this initiative, since the memorandum benefits both sides," promised Milton Tatia.
