ISUTC invests in distance learning with the launch of online degrees

ISUTC aposta no ensino à distância com o lançamento de licenciaturas online

The Instituto Superior de Transportes e Comunicações (ISUTC) has announced the launch of ISUTC Online, an initiative that aims to democratize access to quality education by offering degrees in Engineering and Management through distance learning.

In a statement released on Monday (22), the educational institution, created by Transcom, SA, in 1999, explains that "it is challenging the limits of traditional education, allowing students from all over the country to have access to nationally and internationally recognized academic programs, without the geographical limitations of face-to-face teaching".

"ISUTC intends to lead the way for the future of higher education in Mozambique, making it more accessible and flexible," adds the document to which the MZNews had access to.

According to ISUTC, this new venture comes as a response to the growing demand for educational alternatives that allow students to obtain a degree without having to be physically present on campus, in previously unthinkable areas such as Engineering. In addition, "ISUTC Online stands out as a pioneer in offering Engineering degrees entirely at a distance, filling an important gap in the national education system".

"ISUTC Online promises to guarantee the same nationally and internationally recognized teaching quality, with accreditation by the National Council for the Evaluation of Higher Education Quality (CNAQ) and the National Institute for Distance Learning (INED)," the document reads.

Quoted in the document, ISUTC's director-general, Fernando Leite, said that "this new teaching method shows the capacity of the institution and its teachers to use new technologies to bring quality education to all the provinces of Mozambique, thus reinforcing the commitment to excellent education in the country".
