The Centro Cultural Franco-Moçambicano (CCFM) hosts from today until Sunday, the international Azgo festival, after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 10th edition of the event is held under the slogan Afrofuturism, and brings together national and international artists, namely Stewart Sukuma, Elvira Viegas, Gina Pepa, Yaba Buluku Boys, Hélio Beatz, Mark Exodus, Eduardo Paim, Thobile Makhoyane, among others.
The shows will be held at the University Campus of Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) and at Campinho da Mafalala, and Paulo Chibanga, founder of this festival, considers that, in terms of organization, the event has grown.
Azgo is ?on the right track? when it comes to partnerships, but especially when it comes to artists," the founder underlined.
Justifying the motto chosen for this edition, Chibanga said that, there was a need to create a futuristic narrative in order to build a new image of the country and allow Africa, Mozambique, and music to be celebrated.
