Mozambique receives more than 100,000 doses of vaccine from Johnson & Johnson

Mozambique received last Friday 100,800 doses of vaccines from Johnson & Johnson against covid-19 that the Mozambican executive purchased with the support of the World Bank (WB), the Ministry of Health announced.

The drugs were purchased through the African Union's (AU) vaccine procurement mechanism, the statement said.

In the covid-19 vaccination campaign, the Mozambican government has applied mixed solutions regarding vaccines using drugs from various manufacturers.

Mozambique totals 1,891 deaths due to covid-19 and 148,727 cases, of which 94% recovered from the disease.
