Despite the crisis, LAM guarantees transportation for Moçambola teams

Apesar da crise, LAM garante transporte para equipas do Moçambola

Mozambique Airlines (LAM) says it is making efforts to ensure the transportation of the teams involved in the National Football Championship - Moçambola, which is scheduled to start on May 17.

This assurance was given a few moments ago by LAM spokesman Alfredo Cossa, following the announcement of worsening flight cancellations as a result of the reduction in the operating fleet.

At a press conference, Cossa said that the situation was due to the unilateral termination of a contract by a partner that supplied aircraft on a rental basis to the company.

The source assures that steps are being taken to resolve the problem by identifying new partners for aircraft rental, a process that is already underway.

At the moment, LAM only operates with three planes, one of which was recently hired. In the short term, the airline needs at least two planes with a capacity of more than 80 passengers to meet current demand.
