Japão financia com mais de 20 milhões a construção da rede de abastecimento de água em Gaza

The Government of Japan finances with more than 20 million meticais the construction of three water supply systems in different communities of the Massangena district, northern Gaza.

This is a project called, "Good Neighbor", which also contemplates the rehabilitation of two supply systems of this liquid, construction of latrines in the communities, schools, and training of students and teachers in matters of sanitation.

The one-year initiative, launched this Wednesday in Xai-Xai, will benefit more than five thousand inhabitants of Massangena, among students, teachers, and members of the communities where the project will be inserted.

The governor of Gaza, Margarida Mapandzene Chongo, describes the project as extremely important for ensuring individual and collective hygiene, as it will reduce the risk of diarrheal diseases, due to the lack of water in that district of the province.

For his part, Junghee Park of the "Good Neighbor" project assures that the program aims to reduce the impact of climate change by building infrastructure to ensure community resilience in the face of scarce rainfall in the district of Massangena.

The launch of the project for the construction of water supply systems in the district of Massangena, was witnessed by members of the provincial executive council and business representatives at the Japanese embassy in Mozambique.
