Rockstar Games confirms development of GTA 6. "It's on its way"

Rockstar Games confirma desenvolvimento de GTA 6. “Já está a caminho”

Rockstar Games confirmed late last week that a new version of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA VI) may soon arrive for game lovers. Another piece of news is that gamers will soon be able to have Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.

However, recall that GTA V was originally released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, but the success of the series has prompted the game developer to extend it to other consoles. Originally slated for release in November 2021 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, it will now launch on March 15 of this year, along with the new version of the online game.

These versions will patent new graphics modes with high resolution up to 4K, 60 frames per second, updates to textures and drawing distances, HDR options and ray tracing. In addition to this, they will feature faster loading times, immersive 3D audio, and other features such as advanced haptic feedback.

In the uncertainty of an official release date, or timeline, industry expert Jason Schreier predicts that a reveal will come in late 2022, with an eventual release two years later.

"I would not be surprised to see Grand Theft Auto VI announced later this year with a fake release date of 'fall 2023″ which then drops to 2024," he wrote on Twitter.

In the multiplayer experience, new users can build a career from the beginning of their game, choosing what they want to be along the way, a motorcyclist, an executive, an arms dealer or a bar owner. In this game option they will receive high amounts of money, which will allow them to start their virtual criminal life. Veterans, on the other hand, can restart their game and build a new career as well. Users playing on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to transfer one-time game progress to GTA V and GTA Online, as well as online game characters.

Another nice piece of information states that Rockstar Games will be releasing a standalone version of GTA Online for both consoles, which will be available for free on PS5 for the first three months.

What remains to be seen is how much it will cost to access these new features. So far nothing is known.
