There are not many details yet, but Mozambique may have a vaccine pharmaceutical industry in the near future.

The intention to establish this industry was expressed to the government by a national private sector agent, in partnership with foreign entities specialized in the production of immunizers, said government spokesman Filimão Suazi.

"The information was collected with good grace in the sense that it fits into what is the perspective of the government itself, not only in terms of vaccine production, especially from Covid, which is the subject of the moment, but also in a global perspective, which is to industrialize Mozambique," said the spokesman, at the end of the twenty-second session of the Council of Ministers.

He guaranteed that, "if the bureaucratic part is solved in the next few months, eventually, even at the beginning of next year, we may already have some things happening on the ground in terms of effective implantation.
