Mozambican entrepreneurs present portfolio of projects at Annual Conference

Empresários moçambicanos apresentam carteira de projectos na Conferência Anual

Mozambican entrepreneurs will present a portfolio of projects valued at around 850 million dollars, at the next Annual Private Sector Conference, CASP, which will take place, in November of this year.

Indeed, the Confederation of Business Associations of Mozambique, CTA, announced this Thursday, in Maputo, the seventeenth edition of CASP.

CTA President Agostinho Vuma says that these are projects in the agribusiness, industry, tourism, and energy sectors.

These are institutions that will receive and evaluate several concrete projects that will be presented by companies, through the CTA, for possible financing.

To materialize the projects, the private sector requires the relaxation of the rules to improve the business environment in the country.

At the launch of CASP 2021, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Carlos Mesquita, assured that the Government is on this path.

The Annual Private Sector Conference will be based on three components: identification of concrete actions to boost economic recovery after several shocks and Mozambique Investment Summit, a forum for discussion on doing business in line with the country's governance instruments.

It will also be based on the so-called Market Place, a space for structuring and making business deals.
