Bosses get twice the basic salary before TSU

Chefes recebem o dobro do salário base anterior a TSU

The government has decided to double the previous basic salary in the new salary scale for State Officials and Agents (SAEs) in management, leadership and trust positions.

In yet another revision of the Single Wage Scale (TSU), the government revoked Decree 56/2022 of October 10 - which regulated the way in which management, leadership and trust functions in the State apparatus were framed - and decided to readjust the salaries of State Employees and Agents (FAE) who perform functions: Organs of Sovereignty; in the State's Direct Administration; in the State's Indirect Administration, whose personnel are governed by Public Law; in the Decentralized Entities; in State institutions at the level of the legislative, executive and judicial powers, which are subject to the Public Law regime.

And so to the professional classes that have their own professional statute; in the services and bodies that depend organically and functionally on the Presidency of the Republic, the Assembly of the Republic, the Constitutional Council, the Courts and the Public Prosecutor's Office and their management and disciplinary bodies; in the Ombudsman's Office; in the National Elections Commission; and in the National Human Rights Commission.

State Officials and Agents who exercise management, leadership and trust functions now have an increase of 75% of the basic salary they had before Law no. 5/2022 of February 14 came into force, and "the salary used as the reference salary for the position is increased by 25% of the management allowance".

In addition, the Executive established that the reference salary level of the function results from the amount calculated in Article 3(1) of Decree 59/2022, of November 21; "its correspondence with the TSU salary levels must be established", and also safeguarded that "in cases where the reference salary level of the function is lower than that of the career ladder, the employee is paid the salary corresponding to the salary level of the career ladder, plus a management allowance" of 25%.
