Transitex seeks to boost trade between Mozambique and India

Transitex procura dinamizar trocas comerciais entre Moçambique e Índia

Transitex, a logistics operator and freight forwarder, specialized in international door-to-door cargo transport, has recently opened an office in India in order to boost trade between Mozambique and that Asian country.

The initiative, according to the company, is to contribute to the growth of the economic partnership between the two countries. Coal and beans are among India's main interests in Mozambique, which exported about 1.5 million tons to that country last year.

In Mozambique, Transitex, which has been in existence for 13 years, has a team of 100 employees, distributed throughout Maputo, Beira, Nacala, Nampula, and Pemba, supported by a structure that includes six warehouses from north to south of the country and a road fleet.

"The decision to open a branch office in New Delhi, the Indian capital, came from the need to guarantee Transitex clients reference services, through its own team at the origin and destination of the cargo", said Tiago Martins, executive director of Transitex.

According to the manager, the opening of Transitex India was a planned and projected management exercise according to our vision for the operation.
