Tete regista crescimento de 47% de carvão exportado para o mercado estrangeiro

The director of the provincial service of Infrastructure of Tete, Grácio Cune, said in an interview to Radio Mozambique that the province of Tete registered a 47% growth in coal production, exported to the foreign market.

This is thermal and metallurgical coal produced in the Moatize and Marara coalfields by the multinationals VULCAN, ICVL and Jindal Africa.

"This shows our commitment to keep the jobs and the mines in operation. Our challenge is, as time goes by, to increase and recover our production and marketing," he said.
