Sasol promove oportunidades de negócio em roadshows de Conteúdo Local

The South African oil company Sasol held Local Content roadshows, between October 26th and November 2nd, in Govuro, Inhassoro, Maxixe (districts of Inhambane) and Maputo, in the path of promoting the growth of the regions where Sasol operates.

The sessions, attended by local businessmen, aimed at promoting business opportunities in the scope of the development of the PSA Project (Production Sharing Agreement), as well as sharing the progress of the implementation of the Five-Year Local Content Plan, already signed with the central government.

The entrepreneurs were able to have clarifications with specialists from the oil company, namely to the acquisitions and Health, Safety and Environment requirements. On the other hand, Sasol referred to possible shortages of goods and services that can be supplied by local companies to the PSA project.

For the sustainability of the project, Sasol is considering five strategies: increased local procurement through preferential procurement; supplier and company development program; SME support fund; local employment; and, research, development and technology transfer.

In another scope, Sasol's General Director, Ovídio Rodolfo, said that the SME Support Fund, aims to widen the space of access to opportunities by local companies.

"We note with great satisfaction the disbursement so far of about US$250,000 through the SME Support Fund to eight companies, six from Vilankulos, one from Gouvuro and the other from Inhassoro," he said.
