The parking lot at the Port of Maputo, in the province of the same name, will have the capacity to hold 400 vehicles, according to Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Amilton Alissone.

Alissone visited the port on Monday to learn about its operations, particularly with regard to managing the traffic of vehicles that use the port to load fuel and unload minerals from South Africa.

At the end of the visit, Alissone said that a package of measures was being implemented to improve access to the port, thus freeing up the N4 and Matola's Old Road, which had been experiencing some congestion partly due to postal traffic. (ClubofMozambique)
