The Mambas face Uganda this Thursday (20) to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. The match will take place in Egypt, as CAF has rejected the Zimpeto Stadium.

Previewing the match, Chiquinho Conde highlighted the difficulties of the trip on Wednesday (19): "It was a tiring journey, but that was already expected. Air connections in Africa aren't easy and we had to split up the group. However, the most important thing is that everyone arrived well in Egypt," said the coach, quoted by the "Somos Fanáticos" website.

The Mozambican coach then highlighted the challenges of playing away from home, but also the difficulties of adapting to the climate in Egypt. "It's not going to be an easy task, because Egypt is very humid. Unfortunately the match is scheduled for 3pm and it's going to be very tough for the players. However, we're already prepared for so many adversities. We have to be aware that we can achieve something great," he concluded.
