A Mozambican-British gold mining consortium in the district of Manica, in the province of the same name, plans to export around 40 kg of the precious metal from next February.
Mutamba Mining Processing expects that in the next two years it will be able to reach the production figures required in international markets. Expectations are high due to the results of prospecting for gold deposits.
The installed production unit employs 318 workers, 303 of whom are Mozambican.
"We are satisfied with the work carried out by this company, as it has not been polluting the rivers," said the Secretary of State for the province, Fernando de Sousa, on a visit to the enterprise.
According to the NewsHe called on employees to ensure good working practices for the firm's growth.
"Stay united and cohesive, that way you will also be supporting the work of the government," he said.
