The Government of Mozambique and CTA are holding the XVII Annual Private Sector Conference - CASP, on March 30, 31 and April 1, 2022, at the Joaquim Chissano Conference Center, under the theme: "Reforming the Business Environment for Economic Recovery".
The Conference will be in hybrid format, i.e., face-to-face and virtual, and will comprise three components, namely: Promotion of Public-Private Dialogue, Investment Summit and Market Place
Overall, CASP will have 1 High Level panel, 6 plenary panels, 3 parallel panels, 4 bilateral meetings, 11 round tables, and 25 Speakers.
In the component promoting Public-Private Dialogue, topics related to Mozambique's investment climate and reforms needed to improve the business environment will be discussed.
The highlight will be the debate chaired by His Excellency the President of the Republic, and the signing of a memorandum between the Private Sector and the Government of Mozambique to implement the Private Sector Recovery Plan.
In the Market Place component, Business Halls are organized, where 54 projects from various sectors valued at around 990 million US dollars will be discussed, of which 20 projects valued at 550 million dollars have been presented by public institutions and 34 projects valued at 440 million dollars presented by private companies in the sectors of agriculture, energy, including renewable energy, tourism, water infrastructure, and transport.
The participation of the African Development Bank, Trade Development Bank, AFRIXIMBANK, and other financial institutions will be highlighted.
A fair is also planned, called EXPO CASP, where companies will have the opportunity to exhibit their brands, products, and services.
