Mozambican photographer Mário Macilau is the winner of this year's second edition of the James Bornor prize.
The prize of 10,000 pounds, equivalent to around 790,000 meticais, supports photography talent on the African continent. This edition focused on talent from East Africa.
His works analyze the practice of animism, the life of street children and the relationship with the former colonial ruler Portugal.
