Ernst & Young offers a job opportunity for students

Ernst & Young oferece oportunidade de trabalho a estudantes

Mozambican students in Mozambique will have the opportunity to join Ernst & Young's work teams. About 60 finalist students from the best universities in the country met today in Maputo, the general operation of the consulting and auditing firm. The firm dedicated the day to present its structure and the areas of integration for the candidates to the vacancies.

The managing partner and head of Ernst & Young's audit department, explained that one of the firm's requirements is to recruit the best.

"The students who are here today were previously selected and have in common the fact that they are the best in their universities. And this type of selection is one of the company's basic criteria for the admission of personnel," said Paulo Reis.

The leader of the audit department also presented the students with the profile of employees to be hired, the descriptions of which are fundamental and indispensable. "Our biggest asset is people."

Mário Subtil, for his part, explained to MZNews that this year the selection of new cadres obeyed a different model. And, given the configuration of higher education in the country, the selected students are all from Maputo universities.

"But this does not mean that we do not receive other applications. In fact, as has already been happening, we encourage finalists or recent graduates to send in spontaneous applications," explained, the Ernst & Young audit partner.

Today's event was the first phase of the recruitment process that will be followed in the coming days by interviews to select people with the firm's values.

"At this point we haven't recruited anyone yet, and we hope to complete the process by the end of September for those selected to start work on October 1," said Subtil.

The official also said that between 10 and 15 vacancies are available, for all the company's service lines. However, these new admissions will not, at first, mean a job for students. "But if all goes well, they could be the next cadres and partners of the company."
