Businessmen from Qatar express their desire to invest in the country

Empresários do Qatar manifestam o desejo de investir no País

The Qatari businessmen expressed their willingness to invest in various sectors of activity in Mozambique, with emphasis on tourism and natural resources.

The opening was conveyed to the Mozambican head of state, Filipe Nyusi, during an audience granted to the president of the Qatar Businessmen's Association, DShei Feisal, in Doha.

Feisal spoke of the desire to enhance bilateral cooperation, in the context of his country's interest in generating facilities and extending the bridge between Mozambique and Qatar.

Investment promises also came from representatives of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, received by President Nyusi on the sidelines of the 6th Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Summit, being held today in Doha.

They expressed a desire to strengthen ties of economic cooperation with Mozambique, bringing together the private sectors of the two countries to explore existing opportunities.

"We are quite honored with the audience granted to us by the President of the Republic of Mozambique. To him we reiterate our desire to make economic and financial investments founded on the good ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and governments," the group told journalists.

Briefly, the group of businessmen expressed their desire to visit Mozambique to assess the opportunities that the country offers the world.

For its part, the Qatar Chamber of Commerce guaranteed that it will present to the Mozambican delegation the investment potential that the private sector of this country has the desire and capacity to realize, an act that may take place on the margins of the GECF meeting.
