Cabo Delgado to benefit from four industrial parks

Cabo Delgado vai beneficiar de quatro parques industriais

The market for the supply of goods and services for multinational companies operating in the province of Cabo Delgado will gain more impetus with the construction of four industrial parks. With the support of partners, the local government will build the infrastructure in four districts, namely Palma, Montepuez, Balama and Ancuabe.

"The potential to supply goods and services to the mining exploration development plants allow local entrepreneurs to specialize in supplying these goods to the standard accepted by mining operators within an annex park next to the exploration plant," said, Director of Industry and Commerce in the province, quoted, this afternoon, by TVM.

For Nocifo Magaia, this will be another of the great employment opportunities for residents in the province. He estimated that just one park could generate many more job opportunities than the exploration project directly.

"There are tax incentives because the parks can function as special economic zones of accelerated development," said Magaia, stressing the existence of several other conditions such as personnel training and monitoring of the activities of Small and Medium Enterprises.

This plan to stimulate local business and create job opportunities, particularly in the gas exploration chain, will be one of the exhibits that Cabo Delgado will take to the 57th edition of the Mozambique Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Fair (FACIM) this month.
