Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition in Mozambique attracts over 300 experts from 25 countries

Conferência e Exposição de Minas e Energia em Moçambique atrai mais de 300 peritos de 25 países

More than 300 experts and professionals from 25 countries will take part in the IX Mozambique Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition (MMEC), from April 26 to 27 in Maputo, with the aim of exploring investment and business opportunities in the country.

The event is being organized by the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME), in partnership with the National Hydrocarbons Company (ENH), AME Mozambique and AME Trade UK.

Quoted by NewsCarlos Zacarias, the Minister in charge of this area, said that there was greater interest in minerals for the energy transition, such as graphite, lithium and others with great potential for the market.

"We believe that mineral resources and the energy sector offer a unique opportunity to accelerate national, regional and global economic development," he said.

The AME Mozambique representative, Daud Jamal, predicts that more national companies will have more opportunities to operate in the sector, while the field of action will be standardized.
