More than 300 experts and professionals from 25 countries will participate in the IX Mozambique Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition (MMEC), on April 26-27, in Maputo, aiming to explore investment and business opportunities in the country.
The event is under the aegis of the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME), in partnership with the National Hydrocarbons Company (ENH), AME Mozambique and AME Trade UK.
Quoted by NewsCarlos Zacarias, the minister in charge of this area, said that there is more interest in minerals for the energy transition, such as graphite, lithium and others with great potential for the market.
We believe that mineral resources and the energy sector offer a unique opportunity to accelerate national, regional and global economic development," he said.
The representative of AME Mozambique, Daud Jamal, foresees that more national companies will have more opportunities to act in the sector at the same time that the field of action will be standardized.
