The Mozambican bass player, Carlos Gove, will take the stage of the "Sala Grande" of the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center (CCFM), this Friday, 6:30 pm, in Maputo city. The producer and composer brings to the audience a mix of sounds entitled "Transcendence".
According to a note from the CCFM, "Transcendence" is a show where local sounds and those from other latitudes will be combined. In it Gove seeks to transmit chords of hope, but also to seek new horizons in music.
"In this show, Carlos Gove, goes beyond himself. [He proposes] new melodies, scaling new heights, without losing the essence of the roots that sustain his art," it reads.
Carlos Gove has a wide experience in music, and has collaborated in more than 200 recordings of musicians from Mozambique and abroad. And, in "Transcendências", he will unite musicians of the new and the old generation.
Currently, Gove is working on his project "Massone" which means "forward" in Chope language. This project, released on record in 2013, addresses social intervention themes for behavior change.
