The natural gas processing plant in Temane district, Inhambane province, should be ready by next September. Work is currently progressing on around 86%. Around 700 million dollars will be invested until completion.
According to SASOL's General Manager, Ovídio Rodolfo, during the operational phase the infrastructure could employ around 400 workers from Inhassoro and Guvuro.
The plant is expected to process 23 million gigajoules of gas to feed the Temane thermal power station, which is expected to produce 450 MW of electricity.
The works include the installation of a cooking gas production plant, with a capacity of 30,000 tons per year. It is estimated that production will cover 75% of national demand.
