Southern region: Trains back on track on the Limpopo line after a week's interruption

Passenger and freight trains have resumed running on the Limpopo line (Marracuene/Manhiça), which had been suspended since the 8th of this month for operational reasons..

The information was provided by the company Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM), through the Southern Executive Directorate.

According to CFM, the Limpopo line is the longest of the country's 522-kilometer southern railway system, connecting Maputo Port with neighboring Zimbabwe. The line is also responsible for boosting the economy and social situation in various towns and villages in southern Mozambique.
