Prime Minister challenges new ADIN manager to strengthen decentralization in the north

Primeiro-ministro desafia novo gestor da ADIN para reforçar descentralização no norte

The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, challenged the new manager of the Northern Integrated Development Agency (ADIN) to strengthen decentralized governance in the country's three northern provinces.

Speaking at the inauguration of Jacinto Loureiro, ADIN's new Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Prime Minister said that this institution should promote, coordinate and mobilize resources for integrated economic and social development programmes to continuously improve the quality of life of local communities.

"The government's vision is to turn ADIN into an institution that strengthens decentralized governance in the provinces of Niassa, Nampula and Cabo Delgado," said Maleiane, quoted by the newspaper Sunday.

In addition, Maleiane challenged Loureiro, and his team, "to continue focusing on the implementation of actions foreseen in the Cabo Delgado Reconstruction Plan (PRCD) and the Northern Resilience and Integrated Development Program (PREDIN)".
