Everything is ready for the inauguration, in the first fortnight of June, of the ferro-chrome terminal built by the company Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM), in the border town of Ressano Garcia.
This project is designed to ensure that the ferro-chrome extracted from South African mines will be bucketed by trucks in Ressano Garcia from where it will be transported by train to the port of Maputo for export.
Florbela Trancoso, director of The Logistic Group (TLG), the company responsible for managing the dry port, explained to Sunday that it is currently waiting for certification of the facilities, a condition for the start of activity. The delivery of this document is the responsibility of the Mozambican Tax Authority (AT).
