"Mozambique's participation at Expo 2020 Dubai should attract investments"

The Mozambican business sector considers that Mozambique's participation in EXPO 2020, to be held from October 01, 2021 to March 31, 2022 in Dubai, should attract more and more investments to the national territory as well as re-launch foreign trade.

EXPO DUBAI is the biggest business event worldwide and, for this edition, the presence of more than 190 countries has already been confirmed, including Mozambique, which wants to make this event a true showcase of the best that Mozambique has to offer to foreign investors.

"It is our intention that in a context where there is a reduction in foreign investment as well as in trade due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this platform will be a springboard to attract more foreign direct investment flows into the country and to re-launch foreign trade, establish partnerships and exchange experiences," said Noor Momade, President of the International Cooperation Department at CTA, and urged the Mozambican business community to take full advantage of this unique opportunity to showcase the "Mozambique" brand and establish partnerships.

At the CTA level, this activity is part of the framework of actions that the International Cooperation Department has undertaken, aiming to promote and deepen economic and business partnerships between Mozambique and the rest of the world. During the six months of EXPO, there will be thematic weeks and various business forums and Mozambique already has a program mapped out and the pavilion is almost ready, just lacking decorative aspects.

"As this is the first edition of an EXPO taking place in the Middle East region for the private sector, we believe that this event can be an excellent opportunity to showcase the country's abundant potential, especially in the areas of agriculture, tourism, and energy, to name a few," said Noor Momade.
