Mozambique receives more than 500,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine from the French government

Mozambique received this Friday 506,600 doses of Covid-19 vaccines through the COVAX initiative. The doses were donated by the French government.

The Minister of Health, Armindo Tiago, said during the ceremony to receive the doses, that the vaccine doses donated by France will allow the country to assume equitable access to immunization of the population.

At the reception, Health Minister Armindo Tiago said that this collaboration represents equitable access to immunization for the population.

"We want to reiterate the need to continue to reconcile vaccination and prevention measures known to all of us," said Armindo Tiago.

The French ambassador in Mozambique assured that France will continue to contribute with more vaccines to Mozambique.

"We hope that before the end of this year we will be able to make another delivery of immunizers to this country," David Izzo advanced.
