Mozambique promotes its potential at the Lisbon Tourism Exchange

Moçambique promove suas potencialidades na Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa

A Mozambican delegation, led by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, is in Lisbon taking part in the Lisbon Tourism Exchange (BTL) - 2024. The event began on Wednesday and ends on March 3rd.

At the opening ceremony, the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, visited the Mozambican stand where he interacted with the Mozambican Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, and enjoyed the exhibition put on by 12 national companies and institutions representing the public and private sectors.

On that occasion, Eldevina Materula, quoted by the newspaper NewsHe said that, "with this participation, Mozambique intends to extend its contacts with the world, in terms of tourism, as well as establish business and promote the Economic Acceleration Measures Program (PAE), which includes visa exemption for 29 countries, including Portugal".

The Mozambican leader also stressed that Portugal has been the biggest supplier of European tourists to Mozambique.
