Mozambique and Rwanda highlight gains from bilateral cooperation

Moçambique e Ruanda destacam ganhos da cooperação bilateral

The president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Rwandan Parliament, Donatile Mukabalisa, classified as positive the results of the bilateral cooperation between Mozambique and her country, highlighting the gains achieved in the economic, parliamentary and military fields.

Donatile Mukabalisa, who was on Friday received in audience by the Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, said that, thanks to partnerships for business promotion, there are more and more Rwandan businessmen interested in investing in new projects in the country.

"The cooperation between Mozambique and Rwanda is starting to yield positive results, and that is gratifying for us," he noted.

The president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Rwandan Parliament also visited the Assembly of the Republic on Thursday, at the invitation of her counterpart, Esperança Bias, and a cooperation protocol was signed for the exchange of experiences between the deputies of the two countries.

The expectation, according to Mukabalisa, is that with the materialization of this initiative, there will be more parliamentary visits for mutual learning and exchange of experiences. In the field of military cooperation, he recalled that the Rwandan army is part of the joint force that fights terrorism in Cabo Delegado, and that, in addition to fighting insurgents, monitors the reconstruction process in the liberated areas.

"Our hope is that conditions will soon be created for a return to normalcy in the areas affected by terrorism, which could make it easier to attract more investment in those regions," he said.
