Moçambique derrota Camarões por 71-65 no jogo de estreia no AFROCAN

Last night, the national senior men's basketball team beat Cameroon 71-65 in a game that marked our country's debut at AFROCAN, a competition taking place in Angola.

Mozambique won the first quarter 17-16, lost the second 13-20, came back to win the third 20-15 and the last 21-14.

With the win, Milagre Macome's "five" now have two points, the same as the Democratic Republic of Congo, who beat Cameroon 70-63 in the opening game of the competition.

With only two games left in the group stage, the national team ends its participation in this stage of the competition this afternoon against DR Congo, in a match that will decide which team qualifies directly for the quarter-finals.
