Mozambique has open doors to export three more agricultural products to the Chinese market, namely macadamia nuts, cowpeas and cashew nuts, under an agreement signed today, Tuesday (03), in Beijing.

According to a Sunday newspaperThe agreement was initialed as part of the visit that the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, is making to the People's Republic of China.

The agreement, which is valid for three years and can be renewed automatically, is part of Mozambique's agreement with China, which provides for the duty-free export of 400 national products to this Asian country.

On the Mozambican side, the agreement was initialed by Ambassador Maria Gustavo, and on the Chinese side by the Chinese ambassador to Mozambique, Wang Hejun.

During his visit, the Mozambican head of state will attend the 9th summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing, following an invitation from his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jiping.

The event will take place under the slogan "Hand in Hand Promoting Modernization and Building a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future".

During the summit, the heads of state will assess the progress made in implementing the 2022-2024 Action Plan of the 8th FOCAC ministerial conference, which took place in Dakar, Senegal, as well as approving the 2025-2027 Declaration and Action Plan, which will guide China-Africa cooperation over the next three years.

The meeting is also an opportunity to strengthen relations of friendship and bilateral cooperation between African countries and China, as well as to consolidate and deepen pragmatic economic cooperation within the framework of FOCAC.
