Maputo acolhe cimeira bilateral entre Portugal e Moçambique em 04 e 05 de Novembro

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation announced Friday in Lisbon that Maputo will host a bilateral summit between Mozambique and Portugal on November 4th and 5th.

"We will have a bilateral summit on November 4-5, the expectation is great, as always, we are aware that it will be another moment to sharpen needles, to catapult even further the relations that are already excellent between the two countries," said Veronica Macamo Dlhovo.

The Mozambican minister was speaking in Lisbon at the end of a meeting with the Portuguese Minister of State and Foreign Affairs.

"We were able [in this meeting] to address the major areas of cooperation, health, the fight against the pandemic, education, the economy, with special attention to the economic reconstruction of Cabo Delgado and support for the development of the north of the country," added Augusto Santos Silva, in turn.

In this statement, which was not open to questions from journalists, the leaders said that they also dealt with international issues, including the upcoming ministerial meeting between the European Union and the African Union, which will take place at the end of October in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda.
