More than 3,000 companies declare bankruptcy between 2018 and 2022

Mais de 3000 empresas declaram falência entre 2018 e 2022

The President of the Tax Authority (AT) recently revealed in Maputo that 3131 companies in Portugal declared bankruptcy between 2018 and 2022.

This was due to economic, fiscal and legal factors, according to Amélia Muendane, quoted by the News.

The situation affected companies in the construction, mining, tourism, general commerce, catering, services and goods transportation sectors.

The President of the AT advocates unifying tax and customs systems to improve revenue collection and make life easier for entrepreneurs, as well as investing in human capital and reforming the tax system.

On the other hand, Muendane said that the extractive industry is expected to make a tax contribution of around 30%.
