Pernod Ricard Mozambique brings a new concept of travel for the citizens of Maputo, the "Jameson Railway". In partnership with the company Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM), it invites the public to take a train ride to the flavors of Jameson Whisky, already this Saturday.
I am sure that this will be a unique trip, because it will infuse it with perfumes of elegance, style, charm, finesse, in short, touches of high sophistication. But also because it will inaugurate new CFM cars destined to promote national tourism and culture.
"The Jameson flavor train" will depart at 3:30 pm, from Maputo (downtown) to Marracuene (further north in Maputo province), and is expected to be completed in two hours. But it doesn't end there...
After all, what is in store for the "trippers"?
The organizers promise to offer travelers a new flow of Jameson Whiskey tasting, as the spirit will be served in the form of cocktails, with syrups of local fruits, such as marzipan. In addition, the trip will include musical moments with artists from other parts of the vast Mozambique, stand up comedy, the "Gourmet Junk Food", whose seasoning bases are Jameson whiskey, and more surprises.
"We want to bring to our customers a unique experience that is different from what we have already provided since we have been here," said Jameson Whiskey's ambassador in Mozambique, Hédito Marcelino.
In fact, as he himself recalled, this Railway - part of the already well-known Jameson Takeover - is a "replica", on rails, of what happened way back in the 1500s when the Jameson family immigrated from Scotland to Ireland aboard ship.
In fact, the trip is an integral part of an urban music event that will take place at the CFM venue in the early evening (6pm), in which several national artists will participate, some already known on the Jameson stages. "The fundamental idea is to leverage culture and local tourism.
"The event will help promote local culture and create synergies between young artists, from different parts of the country, makers of urban music," considered the General Manager of Pernoid Ricard Mozambique, Francisco Júnior.
The responsible highlighted that Pernod Ricard, despite being a French brand, always tries to include the Mozambican DNA in its events. Therefore, he released a spoiler: "the next edition of Jameson Takeover will take place in Nampula, already in November".
