The Council of Ministers held this Tuesday, the XVI ordinary session, in which several matters were discussed and approvedof which we highlight the conclusion of the digital migration process set for December.
After several missed deadlines for the process of digital migration of television, the Government has advanced more deadlines, indicating that this time the process will happen in two phases, the first until September 30 and the second until December 31 of the current year.
Also in this session, the Executive approved the decree authorizing the creation of Commercial Companies between Waters of the North, South, Center and Greater Maputo Metropolitan Region. This decision comes at a time when several parts of the country are facing a shortage of drinking water.
Filimão Suaze, spokesperson for the Council of Ministers, reported that the government has updated the program on youth initiatives, which ran from 2005 to 2019, with the aim of providing more funding for young beneficiaries.
"One of the great innovations that this project brings is the definition of new selection categories, categories A and B, where, according to the volume of business, category A can benefit from a financing of up to 50 minimum wages and category B, up to 100 minimum wages," explained Suaze.
Without giving details, the spokesman said that the Government also analyzed the situation on the gas project in Area four of the Rovuma Basin and the level of application of the Coronavirus prevention measures.
