FAO provides $45 million for victims of terrorism in Cabo Delgado

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has assured that it will mobilize $45 million to provide humanitarian assistance to the victims of the terrorist attacks in Cabo Delgado province.

According to the UN system agency coordinator who recently visited Cabo Delgado province, the needs of the more than 800,000 displaced people caused by the extreme violence in Cabo Delgado are still worrying.

During the visit, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization coordinator for the SADC region, Patrice Talla met with the provincial governor, and assured that his visit is essentially to see how FAO aid can be increased in Cabo Delgado province.
