A group of Ukrainian entrepreneurs has traveled to Mozambique to try to identify business opportunities and partnerships with Mozambican entrepreneurs in the areas of Agriculture, Energy, Information and Communication Technologies and Mining..
The information was provided last Friday (14) in Maputo by Hermen Manjate, a member of the Natural Resources and Energy and Mining sectors at the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), minutes after the end of the meeting with the delegation of Ukrainian businesspeople.
"This is a delegation from Ukraine representing the strategic and business sector and they came here to present four areas of the Project of Interest, which are: Agriculture, Energy, Information and Communication Technologies and Mining. They basically came to present opportunities for exchange with Mozambican businesspeople in these four sectors," said Hermen Manjate.

According to Manjate, the meeting also covered mining, especially gold, as Mozambique has large gold reserves. "In the area of energy, in terms of renewable energies, where large solar energy production plants can be developed."
He said that the partnership between the two countries will benefit Mozambique, as it will become a major producer.
"We'll have entrepreneurs with more energy to not only consume, but also to be able to produce and be a major exporter in these two sectors. It's the beginning, we're still developing. We have a new government that is going to draw up the Five-Year Plan and we are going to try to align our expectations and strategies with the government's Five-Year Plan in these four sectors," he explained.
For his part, the representative of Ukrainian businessmen, Bohdan Vorontsov, said that he had chosen Mozambique first to seek partnerships, but that it is an entry point for the whole of Africa due to its location and business opportunities.
"So we're here, it's our first country in Africa, and I'm very happy because we've had constructive discussions with the CTA, with different business people and government officials. We have projects in various areas, but we need to start with a few and that's why we chose the mining, agriculture, energy and IT sectors," said Bohdan Vorontsov.
