The National Inspectorate of Economic Activities (INAE) is calling on citizens to avoid consuming a tobacco called "shisha" or hookah which is already circulating in the city of Maputo, after its sale and consumption had been banned in other countries.
Although there is still no data on its consumption in Mozambique, citing the World Health Organization (WHO), the News says that the drug is highly harmful to health.
The consumption of inhaled substances creates long-term problems, including respiratory infections and bronchitis, warns general practitioner Geraldo Sande, quoted by the newspaper.
