Cabo Delgado projecta comercializar mais de 1,3 milhões de toneladas de produtos agrícolas

Cabo Delgado province plans to sell more than 1.3 million tons of various agricultural products, including food and cash crops, whose campaign officially kicks off this Friday (12).

This figure, according to the provincial director of Industry and Commerce in Cabo Delgado, represents an increase of 5% compared to the previous agricultural marketing year.

Cited by Radio MozambiqueNocif Magaia said that the agricultural marketing campaign, due to start this week, could influence the reduction in food prices currently practiced in the province.

"The agricultural marketing campaign in Cabo Delgado could bring in just over 8 billion meticais," he added.

In addition, the source stressed that cereals, pulses, roots and tubers, cashew nuts and cotton, among others, are the products that will dominate the current campaign.
