Port of Beira to become logistics corridor for fuel supplies to Interland countries

Porto da Beira deve ser corredor logístico para abastecimento de combustíveis aos países do Interland

The governments of Mozambique and Zimbabwe intend to turn the Port of Beira into a logistical corridor for supplying fuel to the countries of the Interland.

The intention was expressed yesterday, Thursday (29), in the city of Beira, by the President of the Republic during the inauguration of the Mozambique-Zimbabwe Pipeline Company's gas pipeline platforms.

Cited by Radio MozambiqueFilipe Nyusi said that the idea is to turn Harare into a trading post for the distribution of refined products to Malawi, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Also in the context of improving the safety of the gas pipeline system linking Mozambique and Zimbabwe, the head of state announced several modernization projects for the transport of fuel.

Today, Friday, the second and last day of his visit to Sofala, Filipe Nyusi will inaugurate the Beira General Hospital.
