Nampula: Construção da nova fábrica vai custar 192 milhões de dólares

The province of Nampula, in the city of Nacala-Porto, will soon have a new Dugongo Cement factory. The construction of the plant has been budgeted at around 192 million dollars, according to the coordinator of the Dugongo project in Nacala, Issufo Ali.

In order to make the project viable, representatives of the Dugongo factory met yesterday (28) with the government authorities in Nampula province to discuss the final aspects of the agreement

According to the project manager, the enterprise will have the capacity to produce around 6,000 tons a day and it is estimated that it will generate employment for more than 600 people.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of State for Nampula, Jaime Neto, was quoted by Rádio Moçambique as saying that he will provide all kinds of support to make the construction of the dugongo factory in Nacala a reality in the short term.

It should be noted that until now the Dugongo factory has been operating in Maputo province with a production capacity of around 2,500 tons per day.
