Truck transit center created at the Ressano Garcia border

The Mozambican Tax Authority has just set up a transit center for managing the congestion of cargo trucks near the Ressano Garcia border post, in the district of Moamba, Maputo province.

It is an area of about 300 hectares, which will allow: the reduction of the long lines of trucks on the national road number four that hindered the migratory process between Mozambique and South Africa, through that border post.

According to the Delegate of the Tax Authority of Mozambique in the province of Maputo, Maria Machicoa, the new area for managing the transit of cargo trucks at the border of Ressano Garcia, created in partnership with the concessionaire of the EN4, aims to decongest the customs embarrassment at the post, in attention to the increase in demand provided by the relief of restrictive measures imposed by covid-19 and the approach of the festive season
