The Xiquitsi project kicked off the 2024 Xiquitsi classical music season last week, with the support of Absa Bank Mozambique. This initiative aims to foster the development of culture through classical music, providing opportunities for children and teenagers in situations of social vulnerability.
With this partnership, Absa Bank Mozambique is reinforcing its commitment to promoting art, culture and education, in terms of skills development through the promotion of national talent, as one of the strategic objectives of citizenship.
According to Absa Bank Mozambique's Marketing and Corporate Relations Director, Tânia Oliveira, she emphasized that through its vibrant performances and the dedication of its musicians, Xiquitsi inspires and connects people, creating a cultural bridge between Mozambique and the world, stressing that it is an excellent opportunity to open up possibilities for people who deserve to shine and share their art with the world.
"This partnership makes us happy and reinforces our commitment to promoting art, culture and education. Xiquitsi is a fundamental pillar in the dissemination of music and the promotion of Mozambican talent, taking it across borders. Through its vibrant performances and the dedication of its musicians, Xiquitsi inspires and connects people, creating a cultural bridge between Mozambique and the world," said Tânia Oliveira, stressing that the bank is committed to continuing to support this project financially.
For her part, Kulungwana's executive director, Henny Matos, said that Absa Bank Mozambique's support is fundamental for Xiquitsi, because "we feel very welcomed by the interest it has shown in following our activities and by attending the concerts".
