Vulcan promises new technology to avoid polluting Moatize

Vulcan promete nova tecnologia para evitar poluir Moatize

Vulcan, a company with Indian capital, has promised a new technology for mining coal at the Moatize mine in Tete province that will minimize environmental pollution.

This information was released after several complaints and confirmation from the government, through the Ministry of Land and Environment, that the company had exceeded environmental pollution limits in its activities. Vulcan says that the government is not prepared to assess the level of pollution in mining activities.

"Next month, we will test the new technology to see how functional it is for our context," promised the company's Chairman of the Board, Mukesh Kumar.

Until the new promise is fulfilled, the company has reinforced the use of trucks with sprinklers to spread water in strategic locations in order to minimize environmental damage.

In addition, advanced dust monitoring methods have been introduced, capable of providing real-time data to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
