Paris Saint-Germain comfortably beat Ligue 1 runners-up Lens 3-1 on Saturday evening in their 31st matchday of the competition.

It was a night of firsts for Vitinha and history for Kylian Mbappé.

The French international opened the scoring in the 31st minute (Lens were already down to ten men due to Abdul Samed's dismissal in the 19th minute) and became the club's all-time top scorer in the French league with 139 goals. He is also the first footballer since Portuguese Pedro Pauleta to score more than 20 goals in Ligue 1 in four different seasons.

Shortly afterwards, in the 37th minute, Vitinha - who had combined with Mbappé to make it 1-0 - scored his first goal for the Parisians with a powerful shot from halfway. The pass came from Nuno Mendes, who was also a starter, as was Danilo.

But the party wasn't complete without Leo Messi's goal, in a beautiful move that included a delicious assist from Mbappé, on his heels.

From the penalty spot, Frankowski reduced the deficit for Lens on the hour mark, before David Costa was brought on.

PSG remain top of the league with 72 points, nine more than Lens.

Earlier in the day, Rennes beat Reims 3-0.
