Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic to make three space flights a month from 2023

Virgin Galactic de Richard Branson vai passar a fazer três voos espaciais por mês a partir de 2023

The Virgin Galactic company founded by Richard Branson has announced that it is to start operating commercial flights three times a month from 2023. The plan aims to cement its contribution to space tourism in a debut delayed several years.

According to 'Bloomberg', the company is expected to secure this offer after it completes 'upgrades' to its aircraft and introduces a second spacecraft.

According to the company's CEO, Michael Colglazier, revealed on Monday in a conversation before analysts that the new VSS Imagine spacecraft is expected to begin flight testing in early 2023 and will be flying twice a month by the end of that year, joining the current VSS Unity spacecraft, which will fly about once a month.

Last month, Virgin Galactic revealed to investors that it would delay the start of commercial flights until the fourth quarter of 2022, once it completes necessary renovations to the VMS Eve aircraft, which requires new horizontal stabilizers.
