Tete. Vulcan capacitates young people for the job market

Tete. Vulcan capacita jovens para o mercado de Trabalho

This year, Vulcan resumed the Labor Market Preparation Program (PPMT), which will benefit more than a thousand young people in Tete.

An initiative that aims to train young people in interpersonal skills and execution techniques, so that they are able to enter the job market or start their own businesses.

Gabriela Dava, a social development analyst at Vulcan, said that after the theoretical training and softskills which ran from January to August this year, began the practical part in September.

"At the moment, three employability-oriented classes are being trained in Industrial Electricity, Industrial Mechanics and Welding, as well as another three entrepreneurially-oriented classes, which are being trained in Installation Electricity, Locksmithing and Hotel & Catering," he explained.

The beneficiaries of the training are satisfied with the opportunity and believe that after the training they will face the job market with confidence. "There are few job opportunities in Moatize, so this training has helped many young people.

Vulcan should continue to promote initiatives like these so that more young people can have a job," said Ângela Bartolomeu, one of the graduates of the Industrial Mechanics course.

This opinion is shared by Dias Sobrinho, a graduate of the Industrial Maintenance Electricity course, who sees the PPMT as an alternative to unemployment. "Before joining this program, I used to do small domestic jobs, but now I have other prospects once I finish my training," he said.
